GENERAL AIRCRAFT DESCRIPTION:


Designed and prototyped in the USA in 1992 by SlipStream Industries. A choice of mid-mounted stick or dual yoke controls and steerable nose gear.
Manufacturer estimates about 300 hours to complete the Genesis, all metal tube fabrication and welding is done at the factory and wings are partly assembled.
Standard kit includes engine, propeller, instruments and finishing materials (except paint), but a bare airframe kit excluding those items is available. The only difference between the Genesis and Revelation airframes is the cockpit enclosure.

The Genesis undercarriage can be replaced with floats that weigh 75 kg including retractable pneumatically operated wheels.

BRIEF HISTORY

The Genesis was designed by Chuck Hamilton, who also designed the Quicksilver and the Challenger. After many years in the ultralight field Chuck designed this aircraft to suit the GA pilot who had tired of the cost of maintaining a GA aircraft but was not ready or willing to go to a bare bones ultralight. With its tricycle undercarriage and dual yoke in a wide side by side cockpit, it would feel like a normal cockpit to most GA flyers. With a high tail it would have a much shorter roll out than a conventional high wing aircraft. The Genesis is also designed for amphibious operation.
