Tumut Aero Club will be hosting the annual Tumut Valley fly-in. Fly around our snow capped mountains, lush countryside complimented by beautiful lakes & rivers. Enjoy the friendly atmosphere with a BBQ breakfast and lunch. For aircraft arriving on Saturday, please advise so arrangements can be made for transport or meals. Limited numbers for lodge accommodation on the field so book early. For lodge accommodation contact Pat 02 6947 1148. Camping area at the airport will be open for visiting pilots. Everybody welcome. Mt Ive is a working sheep station 85nm due west of Port Augusta and at the heart of the Gawler Ranges where you can fly over Lake Gairdner before exploring the area on foot. BBQ, camp fire & serious hangar talk at night. Mt Ive is self catering so BYO food. A basic shop with liquor is on site. For those flying on MOGAS, there is PULP available in the bowser. Accommodation is in stone huts and the shearers quarters for $25-$35 pp pn and there are also powered and un-powered sites available. Mt Ive Station (YMIV) is located at S32 26.5 E136 04.1. The strip is maintained to RFDS standards. Nearest AVGAS is available at Port Augusta, Whyalla and Port Pirie. To be held at the home of the flying tigers-Boonah Airfield. All aircraft welcome. (Aircraft other than Drifters/Fishers will be given honorary Drifter status for the day). Due to the 'unusual' cruising speed of Drifters, breakfast will be held open right up until lunchtime. Cost for breakfast $5 (includes unlimited tea or coffee). Aviators, friends and members of the community are invited to enjoy a fun filled weekend at Archer Falls Airfield in Kilcoy to support the "Wings of Life" raising funds RFDS. Warbirds, classic, homebuilt, ultralight, GA & model aircraft on static display along with numerous other trade displays. Single landing fee per aircraft of $5 (tax deductible) imposed over the two days and a $2 entry fee for those who attend by other means of transportation. AVGAS and premium unleaded available. Come and join us for a weekend of good company and great hospitality in the beautiful Southern Flinders Ranges region of South Australia. Gloucester Aero Club invites aviation community to enjoy this relaxed weekend of flying. All forms of aircraft from micro lights, antique planes through to helicopters on view. If you fly an RA-Aus aircraft or an A380 you're welcome. Gloucester is west of Taree in NSW. All welcome. We're planning lunch, dinner on Saturday night around a bonfire, and brekkie Sunday morning. Great clubhouse and camping facilities available or motel in town. Nominal charge for landing, camping and meals as well as a chance to contribute to our chosen charity, the local Westpac Rescue Helicopter. For catering purposes please advise numbers by 15 October. We depart YYWG and stop overnight at temora, Dubbo, Parkes and Wagga Wagga, before heading back to Yarrawonga. This fly-away is open to all types of aircraft, however we only have room for 50 aircrew, so get in early. We have a 22 seat bus to get the crew from the airfields to the Motels.
